According to Claude News, Anthropic is rolling out new features and updates for its AI platform. Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion are now available in beta. Claude Dashboards connects to data platforms such as BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, and Salesforce, allowing users to ask plain-language questions and generate live dashboards that stay current as underlying data changes. Users can click any number to view the underlying SQL query or send the dashboard to various analytics tools like Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, and Mixpanel. Meanwhile, Claude Motion is available in beta on Team and Enterprise plans, using code to animate text, charts, shapes, and images into downloadable MP4 videos that can be edited or exported to platforms like Adobe and Descript. In addition to these betas, Claude Docs, Slides, and Design have officially left beta status and are now included on every Claude plan, including Free. Users have generated over 45 million documents, decks, and designs using these tools. Claude Design, which previously operated at a separate URL, is now folding directly into standard Claude conversations to use existing context, files, and connectors, with the standalone site operating until December 14. For Enterprise administrators, Dashboards and Motion are disabled by default and can be enabled via Organization settings, while Docs, Slides, and Design turn on by default on October 15 or can be enabled immediately.
Build live dashboards and animate explainers with Claude
Anthropic has launched Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion in beta. Claude Dashboards connects to data platforms and CRMs to build live, up-to-date dashboards, while Claude Motion generates editable animated explainers. Additionally, Claude Docs, Slides, and Design have exited beta and are now available on all plans, including Free.
Why it matters
These updates expand Claude from a conversational text assistant into a functional productivity and data workspace tool. By integrating live data querying and code-based animation directly into user plans, Anthropic is narrowing the gap between AI assistants and specialized enterprise software.
